Year-round lessons or seasonal lessons?

We highly recommend year-round lessons, even if it’s just once a week. Consistent practice helps maintain technique and fundamentals. Seasonal lessons, like swimming only in the summer, often result in slower progress and skill regression.

What age should my child start lessons?

We welcome infants as young as 4 months old! However, there’s no “perfect” time to start—it’s a personal decision for every family. It’s never too early or too late to begin learning to swim!

What if my child cries or is fearful of swim lessons?

It’s completely normal for children to feel scared or cry during their first lessons. Adjusting to a new environment and building trust with an instructor takes time. The timeline for overcoming fear varies for each child, but with patience and consistency, they’ll gain confidence in the water.

Is 15 minutes long enough for a lesson?

Yes! For children under age 3, our 15-minute private lessons are ideal. Shorter sessions match their attention span while keeping them engaged and focused on foundational skills. We also offer 30-minute parent/tot classes for those who prefer a shared learning experience. Once they turn 3 and are comfortable in the water, they can transition to our 30-minute small group classes.

How many lessons will it take for my child to learn to swim?

Every child is unique, with their own learning curve. Progress depends on factors like consistency and regular practice. With time and dedication, all children can learn and improve their swimming skills

How does my child advance? What does the advancement process look like?

Children advance at their own pace. When they master the skills in their current level, they’ll be ready to move up to the next level. Our instructors closely monitor progress and provide guidance every step of the way.

How do I schedule lessons?

Getting started is easy! Schedule a free evaluation with us, where we’ll assess your child’s current skill level. Afterward, our office staff will help you set up a lesson schedule so your child can begin right away!

What is your make-up policy if my child misses a swim lesson?

We understand that life happens! If your child misses a swim lesson, we offer make-ups that don’t expire. We just ask that you let us know the morning of their lesson.
